GIVEAWAY TERMS

1. ELIGIBILITY: Equestrian Events Giveaway (the 'Giveaway') is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are over the age of 18 that have access to the Internet at all times during the Giveaway and prize-award period unless otherwise specified by Equestrian Events (the 'Sponsor'). Non-US residents over the age of 18 may enter unless expressly prohibited by local regulations and law. All employees of Equestrian Events, all associated agencies and each of their sales representatives, distributors, or agents (all of the foregoing, together with Sponsor, collectively referred to as 'Giveaway Entities'), and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to participate in the Giveaway. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entry in the Giveaway constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these Official Terms. No purchase necessary - a purchase will not improve your chances of winning.


2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD: The Giveaway entry period begins at February 6, 2024 8:00AM (EST) and ends at February 26, 2024 5:00PM (EST) (the "Giveaway Period"). Winners will be selected from entries properly submitted and timely received during the Giveaway Period.


3. GIVEAWAY ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: During the Giveaway Period, you may submit an entry form online. Limit One (1) Online Entry per person, per e-mail address, and per household during the Giveaway Period via Online Entry, regardless of whether a person has more than one address/email address or more than one person uses the same address/email address.


4. PUBLICITY: As a condition of entry into the Giveaway, except where prohibited by law, each entrant and each winner by accepting a prize grants to Sponsor and its affiliates, legal representatives, assigns and licensees, all right, title and interest in to publicize, broadcast, display and/or otherwise use the Giveaway entrant's name, city, state, and biographical material (collectively, 'Licensed Rights') in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional review, compensation, permission or approval of the winner. Where necessary, the Prize winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release within twenty four (24) hours of attempted notification or the winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected. Prize winner must be available for promotional display and presentation between February 26, 2024 5:00PM (EST) to February 27, 2024 5:00PM (EST) or will forfeit prize to next winning entrant.


5. SELECTION OF GIVEAWAY WINNERS/ODDS: The potential Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held after February 26, 2024 5:00PM (EST). Winners will be selected from entries received during the Giveaway Period. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. The potential winners will be notified via email to the email address submitted with the potential winner's entry within twenty four (24) hours after the drawing. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, the judge of the Giveaway, whose decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway shall be final and binding. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected at random. Any return of prize notification or prize email as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of any prize and an alternate winner may, at Sponsor's discretion, be randomly selected.


6. PRIZES: The winners will be awarded The Grand Prize is two VIP tickets and one parking pass for all four days of the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event and includes access to our sponsorship tent and a behind-the-scenes VIP tour during the Event with the Sr. Director of Competition, Vanessa Coleman. This tour will be approximately one hour and may* include: Behind the Scenes of the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, The Cross-Country Control Tent, The Rolex Stadium Judges Tower, The Stable Office, Stabling, The Broadcast Trailer, In-Gate & Chute into Rolex, Private Course Walk of the Show Jumping Course, Possible interactions with Riders, Owners, Officials, Course Designers, and Course Builders, and an Invitation to the Winners' Celebration on Sunday. *Tour is subject to change in advance or last minute and will be weather and time permitting. The Second prize is four Ground Admission tickets which include entry into the K3DE Event Grounds, the International Trade Fair, entry to the Kentucky Horse Park, and parking. Note: Ground Admission tickets do not include access to the competition in the Rolex Stadium on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. To watch the competition in the stadium, you must purchase a Reserved Stadium Seat.. Prize will be delivered after February 26, 2024 5:00PM (EST). The Prize will be delivered to the winning entrant's address or, at the sole option and discretion of the giveaway Sponsor, to a recipient designated by the giveaway winner. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. All taxes and other charges are responsibility of the winner. No substitutions allowed. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included as part of any Prize package, and are solely the winner's responsibility.


7. ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF ENTRY: You may also enter the Giveaway by mailing a standard-size postcard with your first name, last name and email address to: TicketLabs Inc., 151 Charles Street West, Suite 100, Kitchener, ON, N2G 1H6, Canada. Postcard entries must be postmarked during the Giveaway Period to be included within the random drawing, and no more than one postcard/email address may be submitted during the Giveaway Period.


8. GENERAL TERMS: By entering or participating in the Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these Official Terms, and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Giveaway Entities are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information or technical failures of any kind, (2) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Giveaway; or (3) any other computer, network, technical, human or other error, problem or malfunction that may occur in connection with the administration of the Giveaway, the processing of entries, or the selection or notification of winners. Further, if, for any reason, the Giveaway is not capable of running as planned for reasons outside the control of the Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Giveaway (or portion thereof), Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Giveaway (or portion thereof). Sponsor also reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify the Entry of any individual found to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or any website operated by the Giveaway Entities; (b) using any robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like entry methods, which will void all such entries; (c) violating these Official Terms or the terms of service, conditions of use, and/or general terms of any Sponsor property or service; or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. Giveaway Entities are not responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of the prize; participation in this Giveaway or in any activity or travel related thereto or from any interaction with, or downloading of, computer Giveaway information.


9. PARTICIPANT OBLIGATIONS: By participating in the Giveaway, you agree to be bound by these Official Terms and the decisions of Sponsor. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to release and hold Equestrian Events and affiliates harmless from and against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, actions and liabilities of any kind in connection with the Giveaway or receipt or redemption of the prize. The winner assumes all liability for any injury, death, or damage caused, or allegedly caused, by participating in the Giveaway or use or redemption of the prize.


10. PERSONAL INFORMATION: The personal information collected through the Giveaway is subject to TicketLabs Inc.'s Privacy Policy, located at https://app.hive.co/privacy/. By entering the Giveaway, you agree to the use of your personal information as described in the above Privacy Policy.

Eligibility EEI Ticket Giveaway (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), Chronicle of the Horse, and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  1. Sponsor The contest is sponsored by Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), located at P.O. Box 12110, Lexington, Kentucky 40580-2110

  2. Agreement to Official Rules Participation in the Contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

  3. Contest Period The Contest begins on February 6, 2024, at 8:00 AM EST and ends on February 24, 2024 at 5:00 PM EST (the “Contest Period”). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Contest using any of the following methods: Mail-In Online

  4. How to Enter Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting this link https://app.hive.co/l/3rn5fi and following the directions provided to fill out the entry information and submit.

Via Mail: This method of entry will be available for the entire Contest Period. On a 3 X 5 card, handprint your full name, complete address, phone number (including area code) date of birth, and email address (optional) and mail in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: P.O. Box 12110, Lexington, Kentucky, 40580-2110. Mail-in entries must be hand-printed and mailed in separately. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by February 20, 2024, and received by February 28, 2024.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

  1. Prize Drawing On or about March 1, 2024, the Sponsor will select potential winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via telephone or email on or about March 1, 2024. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning eligible entries.

  2. Winner Notification The potential winners will be notified by email, mail or phone. Each potential prize winner (parent/legal guardian if a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete, electronically sign and submit a Declaration of Compliance within five (5) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or fails to submit the Declaration of Compliance within the required time period (if applicable), or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize. If the potential winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, the Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian, who will be required to sign the Declaration of Compliance on the potential winner’s behalf and fulfill any other requirements imposed on winner set forth herein. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded. Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 6 weeks after the conclusion of the Contest.

  1. General Conditions In the event that the operation, security or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined y Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of the provision.

  2. Release and Limitations of Liability By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliate, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) lost, late, incomplete, garbled, illegible, undelivered, stolen, damaged, delayed, postage-due or misdirected mail, entries, application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application, the processing of entries application downloads or in any Contest-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages.

  3. Disputes Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Kentucky. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Kentucky, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Kentucky.

  4. Privacy Information collected from entrants is subject to the sponsor’s privacy policy.
