Ride Like a VIP 2026 Sweepstakes Official Rules Your participation in the South Carolina State Fair’s Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes” or “Promotion”) shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein. The following are the Terms and Conditions of the Sweepstakes, which is sponsored by the South Carolina State Fair (S.C. State Fair).
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
ELIGIBILITY The Sweepstakes is open to all current legal residents of South Carolina, USA who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry (“Entrants”). The Sweepstakes is sponsored by the South Carolina State Fair, 1200 Rosewood Drive, Columbia, SC 29201 (“Sponsor”). Void where prohibited by law. Employees, contractors, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies (collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”), any prize suppliers, and any other vendors, contractors, or partners involved in the development, administration, or fulfillment of this Sweepstakes, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents, and in-laws, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household (whether related or not), are not eligible.__ SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on Monday, September 21, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, October 2, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Sponsor will conduct one (1) Sweepstakes drawing for one (1) winner. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on October 2, 2026.
HOW TO ENTER Base Entry (Online): Complete the official online entry form (limit one [1] base entry per person/email/household). Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE): Email your first and last name and email address to marketing@scstatefair.org with the subject line “Ride Like a VIP Sweepstakes Entry.” Emails must be received during the Sweepstakes Period by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, October 2, 2026. Limit one (1) AMOE entry per person/email/household. Important Entry Conditions: • Sponsor is not responsible for late, damaged, delayed, destroyed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or mutilated entries. • Sponsor is not responsible for failed, misdirected, or undeliverable notifications, including those blocked by spam filters. • Entries generated by automated means (scripts, macros, bots) are prohibited and will be disqualified. • Obscene, offensive, or discriminatory entries will be disqualified. • In the event of a dispute, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed the Entrant.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION A random drawing from all eligible entries will be conducted on or about Monday, October 5, 2026 to select one (1) potential winner (the “Winner”). The Winner will be notified by email and must respond within 48 hours. Failure to respond may result in forfeiture, and up to two (2) alternates may be selected. Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/liability/publicity release (“Release”). If a Winner cannot be contacted, does not timely respond, or fails to provide required documentation, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate Winner may be selected.
ODDS Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZE One (1) Winner will receive the following prize package, valid only on Friday, October 16, 2026: • Two admission passes ($40) • Two ride-all-day passes ($84) • One parking pass ($10) • Two Fast Passes for front-of-the-line ride privileges ($40) • Limited free game play ($30) • Limited free food ($50) • Two VIP seats for the Circus • Free VIP Gondola ride on the Celebration Wheel Total Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $254.00 Additional Conditions: • Admission passes and parking pass must be picked up from the administrative office prior to October 15, 2026. Failure to pick up will result in forfeiture. • All other prize components must be picked up in person at the fairgrounds on October 16, 2026. Failure to pick up will result in forfeiture. • Prize is nontransferable and not redeemable for cash (except as required by law). • No substitution, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute with equal or greater value if necessary. • Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, and all other expenses not specifically listed, including travel and lodging. • Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of the prize. • The ARV is based on estimated consumer prices at the time of drafting; no difference will be paid if actual value is higher or lower.
CONDITIONS & RELEASE OF LIABILITY By entering, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions. All activities are at the Winner’s own risk and subject to venue rules. Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities shall not be liable for: • Late, lost, or misdirected entries or communications • Technical failures (computer/network errors, data corruption, unauthorized access, or theft) • Printing, typographical, or administrative errors • Injuries or damages caused by participation or prize use • Force majeure events (including acts of nature, severe weather, acts of government, strikes, labor shortages, terrorist acts, war, epidemics, natural disasters, or other events beyond Sponsor’s control) • Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant engaging in such activity and seek legal remedies.
PUBLICITY Except where prohibited, Winner’s name, likeness, and city may be used by Sponsor for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation.
DISPUTES Any disputes shall be resolved individually, without class action, in state or federal courts located in South Carolina. These rules shall be governed by South Carolina law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
PRIVACY Personal information will be used only for administration of the Sweepstakes and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy at scstatefair.org. Entrants may receive promotional emails and may unsubscribe at any time.
WINNER LIST / OFFICIAL RULES To obtain a copy of these Official Rules or the Winner’s name, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Director of Marketing, c/o S.C. State Fair, PO Box 393, Columbia, SC 29202. Requests must be received within 90 days of the Sweepstakes close.
