GETTING HERE

Lauridsen Amphitheater at Water Works Park
2251 George Flagg Pkwy, Des Moines

IMPORTANT: George Flagg Parkway at Fleur Drive is currently closed due to road construction. The Main Entrance to Water Works Park, located on Fleur Drive, is open and accessible.

Consider an alternate route to arrive at Water Works Park, and if possible, allow for an additional 15-20 minutes for parking.

Follow the posted George Flagg Parkway detour signs by taking Fleur Drive to Bell Avenue. Bell Avenue to SW 30th Street, and SW 30th Street to George Flagg Parkway to enter Water Works Park.

You can also take 63rd Street to Park Avenue, and then east on Park Avenue to George Flagg Parkway to enter the Park at SW 30th Street. 

Parking

Purchase in Advance: Reserve your parking ahead of time, and save time when you arrive via imClutch at Water Works Park, Exile Brewing Company (1514 Walnut Street) or Bell Ave. Suites (1901 Bell Avenue).

Exile Brewing Company and Bell Ave. Suites Parking offers a complimentary shuttle service to drop off and pick up passengers inside the Park with the purchase of a parking pass.

Purchase Onsite: Have your credit/debit card ready for cashless entry. Keck Parking attendants will swipe your credit/debit card to expedite the payment process via imClutch once you have entered the Park. 

ADA parking can be accessed from any entrance point, including Fleur Drive, SW 30th Street, or George Flagg Parkway, located on 30th Street.

Ride Share / Drop Off & Pick Up

There are designated drop-off areas for Uber, Lyft, and taxis in the Water Works Administration Building Parking Lot, located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway. Accessible from SW 30th Street. Follow the George Flagg Parkway detour signs.  

By Bike

Ride your bike to Water Works Park and take advantage of the free Unity Point Health Bike Valet. Your bike will be monitored until you return to pick it up. The Bike Valet is located just west of the Lauridsen Amphitheater by the ADA entrance. 

Peak Traffic Times
Please be patient and allow some time to arrive and exit during peak traffic times, between 5:00 and 6:30 pm, and after the performance.The Water Works Park parking lots open at 3:30 p.m. The Exile Brewing Company (1514 Walnut Street) and Bell Avenue Business Suites (1901 Bell Avenue) open at 5:00 p.m. Please consider arriving early.

AMPHITHEATER ENTRANCE
All ticket holders may use the main event entrance (designated by a purple star on the map) located on the north side of the venue.

The ADA entrance (blue on the map) is located on the west side of the Lauridsen Amphitheater.

VIP ticket holders may use the VIP entrance (designated by an orange star on the map) located on the north side of the venue.

RULES

Seating: Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed in the General Admission area only. Seating is provided in the Reserved sections with an assigned seat number and row. The pit is standing room only.
 
Allowed Items: Please feel free to bring an empty refillable water bottle for refilling at our free water station courtesy of Des Moines Water Works. Bags and purses are subject to search upon entry. Clear bags are not required.
 
Not Allowed Items: Outside food or drink (empty refillable water bottles are allowed), wagons, professional photography equipment or SLRs, pets, weapons of any kind. All entrants are subject to search.

No re-entry allowed. Please plan accordingly.

ADA

Entrance: ADA entrance is located on the west side of the amphitheater – the blue star on the map.

Parking: ADA parking is located just south of the amphitheater. You can access that lot from any entrance point – notify the attendants upon arrival.

PREPARE YOUR TICKETS

AXS Mobile ID digital tickets are tickets you use with your phone - similar to e-tickets or mobile tickets from an airline or movie theater. For security reasons, screenshots and printing mobile tickets are not available and tickets can only be accessed through the AXS App.

Follow these steps on how to use them:

- Open your AXS app and click the ticket icon at the bottom of the screen.
Select your event and your tickets will display.
- Going in a group? Enter together or transfer your tickets before the show.
- Show the tickets at the door to get them scanned upon entry.
- Don't have access to wi-fi? Don't worry. Your tickets will display in your AXS
app on event day if you are connected to wi-fi or not.

Can't find your tickets?

If you are unable to locate your tickets within your AXS account, please refer to your order confirmation email that includes instructions on how to view your tickets or if you chose a different form of delivery.
 
Were tickets transferred to you?
If you already have an AXS account, the tickets will be transferred to your account automatically. Otherwise, you’ll get an email letting you know you need to create an AXS account to claim the tickets. Just follow the simple steps to make the tickets officially yours.

WILL CALL TICKETS & BOX OFFICE

Have tickets set for will call? Pick them up at the box office starting at door time by presenting a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased at the box office with cash or credit.
