New York, NY – (March 3, 2026): The countdown to the 2026 World Car Awards continues today with the announcement of the Top Three finalists across six World Car Awards categories. The winners will be announced during the New York Auto Show press preview opening breakfast on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
The New York Auto Show will host the World Car Awards for the twenty-first time, celebrating the vehicles that best represent innovation, performance, design, and the future of mobility.
Finalists were selected by a jury of 98 automotive journalists from 33 countries, voting by secret ballot based on extensive real-world evaluation conducted as part of their professional work.
“The announcement of the finalists is an important moment for the global automotive industry as it represents one of the most respected honors in our business. The anticipation surrounding this year’s contenders reflects the innovation, performance, and vision shaping the future of mobility, and we extend our congratulations to the finalists and to the World Car organization for its continued leadership,” said Mark Schienberg, President of the New York Auto Show.
