The days are getting longer and Snæfellsnes is getting closer. Spring has arrived and our anticipation for the months ahead is electric.
Fourth Contactis moving quickly, which means more Eclipse Seekers from around the planet have joined our journey to Totality. Meanwhile, we've been deep in site design, curating immersive stages and intentional spaces to gather. Our artists are exploring designs that reflect the land; drawn to local materials, textures, and the people who know them best.
Part of how we work is trying to actually feel the experience before we build it.
Closing our eyes and imagining the land under foot, the way sound will move through the site, what it will feel like to be under the anticipated celestial convergence. If we remain still enough, we can begin to smell the salty air off the North Atlantic.
Then, we put on a playlist and let it do the rest. Toni, a member of our Eclipse Seeker community, has been curating the sounds of our gathering since the beginning, recently updated with Fourth Contact additions.
This time of year we all seem to slow down in the same way. A little quieter, a little more present. A good moment to place yourself in Iceland, ask yourself what you're bringing, and what you're ready to leave behind.
Only 144 days until Totality, Team Iceland Eclipse

The Portal at Iceland Eclipse
We are feeling so energized by the co-created projects forming during our weekly Portal community calls. Brilliant emerging audio-visual artists, builders, musicians, and visionaries are coming together to create meaningful art-science experiences rooted in technology, biomimicry, locally sourced materials, and collaboration.
During this month-long immersion before Iceland Eclipse, we will co-create with astronauts, local Icelandic musicians, and wisdom keepers leading nature-based excursions, while also nurturing family life through a Waldorf-inspired school for children on site. These works will be developed in community and shared with our global audience at Iceland Eclipse.
