| The Carnival Opens TODAY at 3pm and runs through July 19th | The Carnival will be back in town for the 2026 California Rodeo Salinas and is presented by Chick-Fil-A North Salinas. It is open from 3 pm to 11 pm daily, starting Friday, July 10th, through Sunday, July 19th. Admission is $5.00*, and an unlimited ride wristbands are $40 at the gate. Parking is $5.00. The Carnival is located at 295 Sun Way in Salinas- don't miss your chance for rides and more! *Children 3 and under are free at the gate; must be a minimum of 36" to ride any of the smaller rides. The wristbands are only valid for one day.

The parade ends at approximately 3:30 pm (duration is based on the number of kids that participate). No pre-registration required.
DIVISION & JUDGING INFO
The children in the parade are grouped into 8 divisions for judging. The divisions are Playground Floats, Cowboys and Cowgirls, Strollers & Wagons, Community Groups, Costumed Kids & Pets, Dance & Drill Teams, Group Floats and Rolling Riders (skates, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, bikes and trikes-helmets required). Everyone is encouraged to wear western clothing. | Big Week Bull Riding is back on July 15th | The 2026 Big Week Bull Riding will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. This event is presented by Salinas Valley Ford and features non-stop bull riding action with some of the top bull riders testing their skills in an arena close to the main grandstand. This bull riding event will be part of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Xtreme Bulls Tour. Gates open at 5pm and the show starts at 7pm. The edge-of-your-seat action will be followed up with finale fireworks. If you love bull riding, you don't want to miss this event.
| The California Rodeo Salinas runs July 16th-19th | The California Rodeo Salinas will take place July 16-19, 2026, with two nights and two matinees (daytime) performances. Rodeo tickets are on sale now in-person and online. The prices go up by $5 per ticket on Monday, July 13th.
The California Rodeo Salinas is one of the top 15 professional rodeos in the US out of over 600, and the largest rodeo in California. With over 115 years of tradition and a little bit of something for everyone, it's an event you don't want to miss.
Not only are the top cowboys and cowgirls featured in the arena and on the track, but there are food and shopping vendors, saloons, and more. The whole family will enjoy this community event.
We will also feature performances by Rodeo Clown John Harrison and World-Famous Charro & Rope Artist Tomas Garcilazo each day.
We have fireworks after the 6 pm performances on Thursday night & Friday night performances. The Saturday & Sunday performances are MATINEES and start at 1:15 pm.

Ways to SAVE on tickets - click HERE. | Don’t forget about our Clear Bag Policy! | Horse Parades - July 16-19 | The first horse parade made its way down Main Street Salinas in 1911. It was led by James R. Hebbron and consisted of a sixteen-piece band and about 100 horses ridden by local ranchers. In 1938 the parade showcased a record 1,000 horses! Today, the parade consists of mounted Sheriff’s Posse, competitors, various riding groups, color guards, drill teams, Junior & Senior riders, and Charro and Charra riding groups. The horse parade is a tradition that you want to experience. Entries are taken each year for participants from near and far.
The parade will travel to the Rodeo Grounds on Thursday and Friday from East Alisal Street. The Saturday and Sunday traditional horse parades still travel from Salinas City Center (formerly Old Town Salinas) to the Rodeo Grounds.
